The Holiday Co.'s Guide to Bali

It’s on every Aussie’s travel list – with some frequenting the Indonesian paradise annually.

But if you’re yet to discover the beauty that is Bali, here are our top tips on how to get the most out of your Balinese getaway.

STAY: Canggu

While Seminyak may be more well known amongst tourists, Canggu still holds its charm for being a little off the beaten track. While it’s definitely become popular with travellers in recent years, the vibe of Canggu is super relaxed and you can easily (and safely!) cruise around on a scooter without striking too much traffic. While there are countless options for accommodation, if your budget permits – opt for a private villa with a pool. As the temperatures in Bali can soar (pretty much all year round), you’ll be so grateful for the ability to literally roll in the door at the end of the day and into your own pool.

EAT: Everywhere!

The food in Bali is next-level delicious and if you’re staying in Canggu, there are so many amazing options to choose from. For breakfast, you can’t go past Crate Cafe. Undoubtedly an Instagrammers dream, Crate is situated off one of the main streets of Canggu overlooking a picturesque rice paddy and their food is as fresh as it is delicious. There is also no shortage of lunch and dinner options to choose from – but some of our faves include The Loft, Betelnut Cafe, Fishbone Local, Mason, Milk and Madu and Lacalita Bar y Cocina (for the best Mexican feast you’ll ever eat!).

VISIT: Ubud
If time permits, try to schedule a few days in Ubud – or at least arrange a driver and take a trip up into the mountains for the day. Ubud is undoubtedly the cultural hub of Bali, so if you’re searching for those Eat, Pray, Love vibes – Ubud will not disappoint.

SHOP: Seminyak
It may be bustling, but Seminyak is the ultimate shopping destination for travellers seeking a little retail therapy. From markets to luxury stores, Seminyak truly has something for everyone.

Stay cool in our Luna Front Button Dress. Whether you’re sipping cocktails by the pool, shopping up a storm or heading out for dinner – it’s the perfect frock to take you from day to night while keeping you covered from the sun.
